Hallo new mums, sorry if I speak English, but my German is still not good enough. I'm at 12+6 and I already did the "Anmeldung" for the Hospital, DRK Kliniken Berlin Westend in my case. Now I started also searching for an "Hebamme", speaking English or Italian, and here I'm having an hard time!!! My "Geburtstermin" is on 21 December 2017 and it seems that nobody is available in that period. I'm getting crazy, because it's our first child and I don't know how we can do alone all this period. Do you have any advice? Do you know someone who can help us? I live in Wedding. Thanks in advance. Mit freundlichen Grüßen :) Donatella

Hey, maybe you can contact the hospital and ask the people there to help you. A friend of mine also gave birth in the DRK Westend and she had no Hebamme. One of the nurses there was able to find one for her, also she was much more late with that than you ;-) Best wishes
Hi, thanks so much. I was also thinking to do the same and now you confirm this. I surely go for this option! I know there the Hebamme are also friendly and useful, so I hope to have luck! Fingers crossed :)
To be honest I would take any midwife I'll find, English/Italian speaking or not. Two of my friends gave birth at DRK Westend and really had a hard time to find one for delivery date: 2nd January and 23rd April (Easter). All the best :)
